The Aerolase Neo Elite’s laser energy is absorbed into hemoglobin to reduce vascularity and redness from the scar. It is also absorbed into the water, stimulating collagen production to improve the texture and overall appearance of the scar. Collagen remodeling occurs at some level to help with skin texture. Treatment sessions may be required if the scar contains more pigment or vasculature. Despite noticeable improvement after just one treatment, multiple sessions may be necessary to effectively eliminate the color.
